FarCry 2 arrives on October 24th

The Game everyone has been waiting for

This piece of information is virtual Nirvana for gamers. The hugely anticipated sequel to Far Cry releases on the 24th of October all over the world.

Far Cry 2 releases simultaneously on PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and the Wii. And this is what John Parkes, EMEA Marketing Director of Ubisoft had to say: "Far Cry 2 is an amazing journey that will take you to the darkest places of Africa where each player will choose how they play. This will provide gamers with an unprecedented experience in the FPS genre".

How divinely right.

Far Cry 2 will be entirely open-ended and non-linear. The game is set in a sprawling nondescript land in Africa, with terrain ranging from Savannah to jungle! Ubisoft's Dunia engine that fuels this game is nothing short of stunning.

It's dynamic weather system varies the weather … wind howls through the landscape that sways trees and dusts the terrain very realistically….or some fire on vegetation crackles and moves with the direction of the wind. The best part – there will be no loading times between the levels… once the player starts playing the game he’s immersed in African savanna for 50 straight hours!! And there would be a realistic day-night cycle as the player progresses through the game. Wonderful.

With a very gritty tone and an extremely lifelike living and breathing environment, including exquisitely rendered African animals, Far Cry 2 offers something deliciously new to play.

Think of driving a jeep through extremely lifelike African savanna with the animals, mercenaries, guns and bombs, tracking down an infamous scary as hell Genocide maniac. We can't hardly wait for October 24th.
