Dhoni threatens to Resign from Captaincy!

Pathan instead of R.P. Singh? I Quit!

Shocker - captain of Team India Mahendra Singh Dhoni apparently said he wanted to drop his hat after pace bowler Rudra Pratap Singh was chucked out of the team.

As expected, the BCCI wagged their fingers vigorously and denied the development. So is there a bee in the bonnet between Dhoni and the selection committee? Well MS Dhoni himself denied that love was lost between between him and selectors.

"I do not know from where the reports of my resigning emerged," said Dhoni. RP Singh was given a rest after poor performances in the opening matches against England.

According to television reports, Dhoni had a disagreement with the selectors during the meeting on Thursday to pick the team for the fourth and fifth matches of the ongoing series against England. But Dhoni denies that too. Maybe his evening tea had too much garlic, he sure was unhappy.

According to an unnamed yet 'close' and 'reliable' source of the selectors, Dhoni reddened because they dropped RP Singh like a rubber duck to make way for Irfan Pathan, and threatened to resign.

The BBCI, however, was quick to rubbish the reports. "I can't respond to something that is being floated around by somebody," BCCI secretary N Srinivisan said.

In case you're wondering, the Indian team is relishing Dosas in Bangalore at the moment to play the fourth match against Blighty. Strangely, the team management could not be reached for their comments, probably their tea had too much garlic as well. Dhoni's customary pre-match press conference is scheduled to be held later in the afternoon.

The reports said BCCI President Shashank Manohar was forced to interfere and sort out the issue. The newly formed selection committee, headed by former Indian captain Krishnamachari Srikkanth had met on Thursday for the team selection when the differences apparently cropped up.

If you remember, last year Rahul Dravid too had relinquished captaincy. Lack of say in selection matters was widely touted as the reason behind Dravid's abrupt decision. Lets hope this tomfoolery doesn't affect Team Indias performance in the fourth ODI. Sachin is back in the team so there's a lot of hope though.

Selectors or bunch of jokers - be chucked out first !!!

Dhoni is such a great captain. He is abslutely right in retaining R P Singh, another great player who is not getting enough chance to demonstrate his class bowling.

Shame on these selectors. They are same who destroyed indian team by keeping wonderful play Ganguly and now doing same to Dhoni and team.

Are these are Selectors or bunch of jokers . They should be chucked out first.

Its a correct decision taken by BCCI, Even it happens for sachin, yuvi and more. He should perform well to get back to the squad. Dhoni will never deny this decision. He is such a good captain. we dont want to miss him.
