Rel Big buys US Cricket Portal

There are two things in India that seem to get bigger every year - Cricket and Reliance... this time is no different. Anil Ambani pulled a really huge rabbit out of his hat on Sunday when he announced that Reliance Big Entertainment, his media and entertainment arm has acquired a majority stake in Willow TV.

In case you didn't already know, Willow TV is the world's largest portal for live internet streaming of Cricket. And in case you're wondering about financial details, i believe the codeword that was uses is 'mum'.

Although Rajesh Sawhney, the president of Reliance Big let slip a wee bit of info - the company will spend a small amount of Rs 300 crore over the two years on this portal.

And what is Reliance's other plans of buying India? Its entertainment division will extend Willow TV's reach beyond the net the shifting sand dunes of mobile and TV...among other things.
