Bomb hoax at Chennai Central rly station
Should've been a missed call
|
Somebody ate an Idli instead of a Dosa on Friday and got majorly upset - and he/she/it got so upset that he dialed the police to vent his frustration.
It was a frustrating day for travelers as well. Some of them packed their bags, ready to leave for a holiday, and their bosses gave them extra work for the weekend. While the rest ran helter skelter looking for cover, afraid a bomb might blow up in their faces.
Tension prevailed for a while at the Central Railway Station on Friday morning following an anonymous bomb threat, which of course, turned out to be a hoax.
Police said bomb experts and sniffer dogs were immediately pressed into service after the anonymous telephone call said bombs would go off in the station. Even the EMU suburban trains and passengers and their belongings were also subjected to thorough checks.
Railway protection force frisked the passengers and their baggage entering the station. All the parcels were also checked thoroughly using metal detectors.
After a collective search by the officials for nearly four hours, it was found that it was a hoax call. If you're wondering if the caller is reading this text at the moment, don't be. The person probably has got his deserts by now.
Efforts were on to trace the caller, police added. Whether the caller put a handkerchief on the mouthpiece of the phone is not yet known.

It is really ridiculous...
Rumors are really pathetic to cause so many hindrance to the travelers. Enough ideas should be discovered to nab the culprits who are making hoax call...
