Dark Knight becomes biggest IMAX movie ever

The Dark Knight continues to plunder more gold at the box office worldwide - not only is the second highest grossing movie of all time, but it is also THE HIGHEST grossing IMAX movie ever.

The previous record was held by The Polar Express, a kiddie animated movie starring Tom Hanks. The Dark Knight until now has made over $925m worldwide, including $55m from IMAX screenings. The Polar Express, released four years ago, had raked in $45m.

Incidentally, The Polar Express has been re-released in the US every year during Christmas, giving it a double advantage. The Dark Knight managed to surpass its numbers in just one single blow. So what do we think? We think that Dark Knight should get the same perenial treatment.

"That sounds like a really great idea," said Greg Foster, the IMAX chief, "Ultimately, it's a decision that Warner Bros. has to make. We'd certainly support that."

Watching Dark Knight in IMAX is a supremely superlative experience. I have see the flick thrice, all three times on IMAX. And a long line of people agree with it too. Heath Ledgers joker certainly deserves to be there on the screen for a longer time. Oh and we don't mind looking at the Batman either. We're $eriou$!!
